from CA$25.67
Una Taaffe (1922-2006) was a beloved Galway character. When this photo was taken by Canadian photographer Suzanne Ahearne in the late 1980s, Una managed Taaffe's—the family's woollens store—on William Street with her brother. Once a statuesque beauty, Una had worked for a time as a model and actor and was a skilled sportswoman in her youth. She came from one of the most successful merchant families in Galway. Una lived above the store, which was closed down in 1996 and is still derelict today. © Suzanne Ahearne Available in various sizes, the photo is printed on premium semi-glossy paper with a subtle shine and is protected against fading from light or moisture: Paper Finishing: Semi-glossy, enhances colors with a subtle shine.
